She may be right , in her case anyway.

If McCain's choice of Palin has ended her political career (Oh, please let this be so), hopefully voters will not be foolish to entrust her with further power to be abused.

The Troopergate report just documented near-pathological levels of power abuse by Palin, and she's promising us that she and McCain will end power abuse.

It begins to make W's promise to "change the tone in Washington" appear almost sincere.

How odd that in this election, "little white lies" seem more ironic than iconic?

Terry, she didn't pardon herself as that would have required that she admits that she did something wrong in the first place.

This is what makes me so iritated at her. She looked good at the beginning but once I started reading about how she ran the offices that she held, I just started getting a sense of her only caring about her own agenda, have a different opinion than hers and out you go. True she did some good things for the people of her state, but along the way she did some downright terrible things as well. A leader and manager must be able to find a balance, not just hack and slash everything until they get what they want.

The problem is that she is clueless enough to believe she is qualified, and to believe she has done nothing wrong.   How much time did John McCain spend with her before choosing her?   It only took a few moments for Katie Couric to show her to be a complete fool.  If McCain missed that, he must be getting senile.  Perhaps that is why he won't release his medical records.

Actually that is not true. You can get a preemptive pardon. Look for blanket pardons for all senior members of the Bush Administration before he leaves office.

However, I don't think you can give yourself a pardon. That is why it is so important for the Republicans to win the WH this year.

I think we are all grossly underestimating the depth of this woman's psychosis:

        a) she spent six-years, attending five different colleges to get a degree in "Broadcast Journalism", (ironic isn't it? "liberal media, biased media, filter of mainstream media... blah, blah, blah") and then couldn't even get a job on the 6 o'clock news.  (I'm betting they found her a bit too simple)

        b) she wins "2nd runner up", in the Miss Alaska pageant. (I am more beautiful than you, and have this shiny crown to prove it)

        c) she thinks she is still of child rearing age, then is faced with the notion that she may have been too old, by giving birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome. (at 35, your chances of having a baby with Down's is 1/350, opposed to a 44-year-old at 1/40)

        d) her squeaky clean reputation as the "all-american-hockey mom", and her righteous Christian theory of, "abstinence only," comes crashing down before her when her teenage daughter comes home pregnant.

        e) she takes on Charly Gibson and Katie Couric, and utterly humiliates herself on national television.

        f) she is convicted of "abusing her power" as Governor of Alaska. (at least Jesus still loves her)

Add a dash of "landslide victory" by her opponent, and you've got yourself a recipe for CRAZY.

And when Obama wins, in all our celebration of evils defeat, let us not forget about her, because she will go back to Alaska, and stew.  Remember, she runs the Alaskan National Guard, and killing animals will no longer suffice in feeding her neurosis.

I love it. She once gave a speech to the Alaskan legislature saying she wanted to change (ethics)laws. Leave it to the ultraconservatives to use the classic game plan of changing laws to suit their level of corruption. It's always been like the fox guarding the hen house.

I think you guys and girls are forgetting a key part of this equation.  During the VP debate she said she agreed with Dick Cheney's expansion of the VP's role, she also said she wants to further expand it.  So, she has abused power, she wants to abuse power, but they're going to eliminate abuse of power.  It's like dealing with multiple personality disorder.

Absolutely!  It's how the last 8 years have gone, and how the McCain/Palin campaign has been run.  Say one thing, do the complete opposite.  Deny that you said that one thing.  Continue to do the opposite.  Come out and say that that one thing you said but didn't say needs to be changed.  Continue to do the same.  Change how you are doing things and claim that you are the first and only one to do something about the issue.  Ignore the facts showing otherwise.  Continue to deny what you said but didn't say.  Doh-see-doh, grab your partner by the hand and promenade!  Yee-hawwww!

Really?!!! He's sending your silly, pandering wiggling ass back to Alaska with a KICK ME IM STUPID sign on your back and a Thanks but Not Thanks Consolation prize of Turtle Wax?

Maybe there is hope for us yet!

What is scary is that people think she is setting herself up to run in 2012. And there are people out there that are all for it. If that happens Canada is looking really good to this California girl.

Terry 57, she wasn't even in office yet and wanted to expand power of VP. Christ what a friggin joke wasn't it just 4 weeks prior she freely admitted her first question was "what exactly does the VP do".
I'm stealing from Seinfeld, "I feel like in the Bizaro World" please someone wake me up!
Anyone else notice that they say Trig is with her all the time not as a prop but because she is nursing the kid???? She always has those lovely suits on and most recent her white button up shirt, so on the bus she pretty much takes her whole shirt off?? How often does the kid feed, I assume the shirt's on/off all day!!  Now it becomes clear why McCain picked her, just hoping for a little skin shot!

How is Sarah Palin going to bring reform to Washington, when she is in need of reform.

She violated a ethics code and she is just carrying on like it is nothing, and Mccain's supporters are letting her get away with it, I would say she owes the American people a honest explanation and apology. Especially the people of Alaska.

She does walk the walk, The walk of corruption.

I am not sure what she is talking about.  You see i don't know what the McCain/Palin Platform is.  they don't say in their commercials what the believe or plan to do.  All I hear is why we should't vote for Obama.  It truely scares me to think that the republicans have so little confidence in themselves that they can't even talk about their plans for the White House. Honestly I have more trust in Tina Fay
